SUMMARY:Harpeth Hall Polar Bears Hockey Field Day
DESCRIPTION:An #HourWithHer Can Boost a Girl’s Confidence for a Lifetime\n\nGirls opt out of important activities like sports and STEM (science\, technology\, engineering and mathematics). Why? Most often\, they don’t see anyone who looks like them doing things they dream of doing. So they lack the confidence that they can be and do anything. \nResearch shows that spending just an hour with a girl can boost her confidence for a lifetime. That’s why we’re inviting inspiring women role models like you to spend an hour with us this Saturday\, September 10th between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. \nPlay Like a Girl is teaming up with the Harpeth Hall Polar Bears\, the first all-girls scholastic hockey team in Tennessee\, to introduce the game of hockey to female middle school students at our partner school\, STRIVE Collegiate Academy. \nSixth through eighth grade girls will learn the fundamentals of the game and play a spirited floor hockey scrimmage alongside high school hockey players. They’ll also meet inspiring women role models in hockey\, learn important STEM concepts in the sport and explore exciting careers at the intersection of STEM and hockey. \nYou’re invited to join the fun as a volunteer! Spend an #HourWithHer\, and together we can help girls in our community reach their full potential. You choose your hour: 10 – 11 AM\, 11 AM – 12 PM or 12 – 1 PM. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSign up today! Spend an #HourWithHer.

SUMMARY:Meet + Mentor: An Inside Look at Pharmacy
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an inside look at Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy!\nThis month\, we’re teaming up with Lipscomb University Doctorate of Pharmacy students to give middle school girls across Nashville an inside look at exciting career options in the pharmaceutical industry. \nGirls in grades 6 to 8 will have a chance to visit one of Nashville’s most prestigious university campuses\, where we’ll tour the compound lab in the Burton Health Sciences Center\, learn how to use a stethoscope and read a blood pressure\, and put our chemistry knowledge to the test while making our own hand sanitizer. All of this–first hand with the guidance of young female pharmacists in training. \nAnd\, as always\, the girls will leave with tons of prizes and goodies to remember the experience! \nSee you Saturday\, November 5th! Click the share button and invite your classmates\, friends and Girl Scout troop. \nThis is a drop-off event but parents must check in and out with their student(s) present. \nCheck in begins at 9:45 a.m. Check out is at 1:00 p.m. \n  \nAbout Meet + Mentor: An Inside Look\n\nInside Look is a monthly employer-sponsored mentoring event series that connects middle school girls with women professionals and male allies from Nashville’s top companies. With tech talks\, panel discussions\, hands-on projects and more\, the program is designed to grow participants’ interest in science\, technology\, engineering\, mathematics and related fields (STEM+) and help them learn more about careers at Nashville’s top companies\, preparing them for college and career. \nInside Look is an extension of our Meet + Mentor program committed to supporting diversity in Nashville’s workforce and the STEM+ industry as a whole through community-building\, speed mentoring and skills development activities. Each three-hour experience includes an exclusive employee-guided tour of the host company\, its laboratory\, plant and/or other facilities\, exposes students to a myriad of STEM+ and non-STEM+ careers at the company\, introduces what’s new in tech through a hands-on product demonstration or STEM+ activity\, and shares sage advice about high school courses\, internships and training programs\, college scholarships\, majors and other pertinent topics related to choosing a career pathway into the industry. \nIn addition\, the host company gets to highlight its social impact in the lives of Nashvillians and the world. This program intentionally elevates women who are natural role models and leaders in the community through partnership with Corporate Social Responsibility\, Employee Resource Groups and Diversity\, Equity & Inclusion initiatives already working in our community. \nRSVP today!\n\nNote: We will no longer offer free-to-register programs and events. Free events\, particularly during the COVID-19 era\, carry extremely high no-show risks\, thereby reducing our impact and risking our relationships with partners and sponsors who invest time\, talent and treasure to deliver high-quality programming for our girls. To also ensure our girls the best experience possible\, tagalongs are not permitted to attend events unless otherwise noted. A tagalong is defined as any child (i.e. sibling\, non-registered friend) that does not meet the age and/or grade level requirement for the scheduled program or event.

They also build confidence as they learn strategies for communicating their ideas with others. \nJuniors and Cadettes can explore new STEM interests and tackle big challenges – all while having fun and earning their Girl Scout badges. To do this\, Scouts must verify with their troop leader that they will approve the badges earned by participating in Play Like a Girl programs and events. \nYou will receive a final confirmation email with any additional information you need about 3-5 days prior to the event. Please also make sure to print\, complete and sign all required waivers and forms – and bring them with you to this event.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text_color=”color-877243″ heading_semantic=”h3″ text_font=”font-571765″ text_size=”h3″ uncode_shortcode_id=”118318″ text_color_type=”uncode-palette”]RSVP today![/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text text_lead=”small” uncode_shortcode_id=”156803″]Note: We will no longer offer free-to-register programs and events. Play Like a Girl Power Packs are a healthy snack alternative to junk food and taste great. We focus on quality products that are whole grain\, low sodium\, and low sugar. In each pack: A fruit\, whole grain\, protein and a handwritten power note from you to the girl receiving your handmade power pack. \n[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading uncode_shortcode_id=”138907″]Order. Pack. Give![/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”169601″ el_class=”plag-proxima”]Each adult volunteer is asked to purchase at least one item for the power packs. We also invite those who aren’t able to join the event but want to make a difference to do the same. Purchase healthy snacks from our Amazon Charity Wish list and donate them to our next Power Pack project. Plus\, when you shop at smile.Amazon.com and select Play Like a Girl as your charity of choice\, Amazon donates to increase your impact.[/vc_column_text][vc_raw_html]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[/vc_raw_html][vc_empty_space
