Volunteer Opportunities
The descriptions below represent our anticipated needs for Play Like a Girl On the Green Charity Golf Scramble on Monday, June 14; however, the landscape continues to evolve. We ask for your flexibility and understanding if/when details surrounding our volunteer program must be adapted. Volunteers are encouraged to work at least one shift in one of the following areas on tournament day. Roles and shift selections can be made at the time of registration. Volunteer shifts vary by function, but typically last 3-5 hours per shift. The morning shift for a given volunteer position may begin as early as 7:00 a.m. A mandatory volunteer orientation will be held at The Grove.

Volunteer Manager
This person will report to the Guest Experience lead, and must have knowledge of the event location, event logistics, and volunteer needs throughout the day. Service the volunteer station including set up, stocking water, snacks and supplies, and tear down. Meet, greet and direct volunteers to their team leads upon arrival.
Shifts: 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. | 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Set Up/Tear Down
Must be active and in good physical health, with the ability to lift 20 lbs or more. Assist with set up and tear down of the venue, event signage, preparing SWAG bags, and other logistics as needed.
Shifts: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. | 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Player/Guest Check-in
Responsible for staffing the check-in table and assisting players, patrons and guests upon arrival. Hands out gift bags, sells mulligans and raffle tickets, and answers any questions about the tournament. Assist volunteers with shift changes, and take phone calls and answer emails about the tournament throughout the day.
Shifts: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. | 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. | 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Technology
Responsible for providing support to golfers on how to use GolfStatus scoring and GiveSmart mobile bidding apps. Must have ample knowledge of the app and be able to troubleshoot any issues.

First Aid
Must be CPR and First Aid certified. First line of non-emergent medical care for players, patrons, and volunteers. Assigned to a first aid station for the duration of the shift and responds to incidents on the course.
Shifts: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | 3:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Media/VIPs
Assist VIPs, photographers, videographers and members of the media throughout the tournament. Craft social media captions and post to social media. Some volunteers will be asked to assist media/VIPs on the course throughout the golf tournament. Assist as needed during post-play hospitality/awards presentation of celebrity golfers, patrons, media and other VIPs.
Shifts: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | 3:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Juniors Clinic
Must pass a federal background check. Support girls and staff, assisting with crowd control and answering questions, helping run rotations, and providing general support to instructors.

Hospitality/Sponsor Services
Must be active and in good physical health, with the ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods of time. Greet patrons, players and their guests at the hospitality stations at the Manor House and on the course. Assist with the check-in and distribution of proper credentials, as well as provide support at the driving range as well as on holes 5 and 13. Great opportunity for groups of corporate volunteers and students.

Post-Tournament Activities
Assist with the awards ceremony and auction(s) including the collection of bid sheets, payment processing, and the delivery of awards, giveaways and prizes to winners. Assist the grove with making sure the requirements of Play Like a Girl are met for the Women in the Round Concert.

Runner/Floater
Want to help but not sure what you want to do? This role is a great way to experience many different areas of the tournament. Assignments will be made based upon the immediate needs.
