Play Like a Girl provides the educational opportunities and practical support girls need to stay on a high-performing academic track through high school and pursue post-secondary educational options leading to a STEM+ career.

6th grade students return for a second summer camp and continue regular monthly engagements including STEM+ Saturday makerspace studios and Girl Who Code Club throughout the subsequent school year.

Club members build coding skills and community with peers and role models as they complete an impact project that solves a real-world problem. Desktop or laptop computers and reliable internet access are required. Free curriculum, meeting guides and tutorials, and Facilitator support are provided.

Applications open September 1, and will be accepted on a rolling basis until the class is fully enrolled. A parent or guardian is required to attend three mandatory milestone events: The Grownups Gathering, Kickoff Party & Spring Showcase. Students meet as a cohort from November 2021 through April 2022. Proof of vaccination, face masks and social distancing are required for all in-person sessions. Students must use a virtual background and have their video cameras turned on at all times when meeting via Zoom or other video conferencing platforms. No exceptions.
