Student Ambassadors (SAs) are engaged middle school girls with an enthusiasm about STEM and sports who have been selected to act as champions of Play Like a Girl in their school and community. SAs help recruit their peers to participate in Play Like a Girl, and offer support to programs and events throughout the school year. Many SAs help promote Play Like a Girl by working with our partners, and promoting opportunities for students via social media, school and local community organizations.
Student Ambassadors are responsible for:
- Assisting their Club Leader, if there is one in their school
- Starting a Play Like a Girl Club if there is no chapter in her school
- Hosting recruitment events*
- Recruiting students as program participants
- Supporting students in their program experience
- Brainstorming, planning and setting up for student programs and events
- Speaking and leading activities for students at official events
(*due to COVID-19, there may be virtual recruitment and support events)
