The Music City Chapter of Women in Aviation International is thrilled to host its annual Girls in Aviation Day, a FREE event for girls aged 8-17. This exciting day is packed with hands-on activities and captivating displays that will spark a love for aviation.
Participants will design and test paper airplanes, explore aviation navigation through a scavenger hunt, and get hands-on experience with flight simulators led by a Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame educator. Attendees will also learn about the parts of a plane and an engine through static displays, climb into a Birddog aircraft, and discover how pilots use radios.
Special highlights include the PT-19 “Miss Cornelia” and live demonstrations from Blackhawk and Vanderbilt LifeFlight, pending confirmation. Representatives from MTSU, BNA’s Tower, and the FAA will also be on-site to inspire the next generation of aviators.
Registration (check in and backpack pickup) is at 8:00 AM, with activities following immediately from 8:30 AM until 12 PM. Lunch will NOT be provided.
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to explore the skies and discover the wonders of aviation. Space is limited to just 75 participants—reserve your spot today!
