Play Like a Girl STEM+ Camp – Nashville
Is your middle school girl always day dreaming about her next business or invention? Play Like a Girl’s Spring Break Camp – Nashville is the perfect place for her to give shape to those mind-blowing ideas. Students participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for improving the way that companies do business. With help from our partners at Microsoft, students develop a plan for their own revenue-generating business, small money-producing venture or social enterprise. Students examine and analyze real-life entrepreneurial stories from local women entrepreneurs during lectures and industry field trips where students have the opportunity to get a first-hand look at some of Nashville’s leading companies, start-ups and business incubators. They then develop a business plan and Shark Tank-style investor pitch for their own company. This program is great for girls interested in both STEM and business.
Lunch, snacks and physical activity provided daily.
FREE to students at Rose Park Middle School.
