Young Professionals Connect

Join Play Like a Girl's Young Professionals Network for a special workshop series to kick off Women's History Month, March 11th.

This free event is specially designed to get young professionals from all industries and sectors across Nashville and the nation connected, motivated and skilled to take on the new rules for careers and professional development in a post-COVID world. YP Connect precedes a month-long celebration of women and gender equality, and sets the foundation for the Play Like a Girl Women's Leadership Summit taking place on March 19.

The YP Connect lineup includes:

  • Landing a Job in a Pandemic featuring Dr. Hamaria Crockett, Executive Leadership Coach, Korn Ferry

Dr. Hamaria will offer expert tips on leveraging your network and will share the different ways you can keep your resume fresh while seeking new employment in this pandemic. She will also share tips for nailing virtual job interviews, as well as useful strategies to use during a job search.

  • Staying Connected While Six Feet Apart featuring Shannen Stewart, CEO, Heels & Handshakes

Shannen will help you strategize and plan how best to network during the pandemic. She will discuss Zoom fatigue, digital business cards, sliding into the DMs the right way—and the power of the follow up.
