On International Women’s Day, the rooftop of Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up Restaurant & Bar was buzzing with energy, excitement, and purpose. Play Like a Girl Honors 2025 welcomed over 200 changemakers, mentors, and supporters for a sold-out, standing room-only celebration of women and girls breaking barriers in STEM and sports.
Presented by TC Restaurant Group, the event was nothing short of unforgettable. From red carpet moments and mimosa toasts to live music and inspiring speeches, every moment was curated to connect, celebrate, and inspire. Guests were treated to exclusive experiences including a lipstick bar, complimentary headshots, a 360-degree photo booth with panoramic views of the city, and a Play Like a Girl pop-up shop. Kendra Scott also hosted an exclusive shopping experience, donating a portion of over $5,000 in sales to support Play Like a Girl’s mission.
The awards program, emceed by former Miss Tennessee Brianna Mason Broady, featured moving stories from Play Like a Girl CEO Dr. Kimberly Clay and young alumna Carwyn Wilson. The crowd laughed, cheered, and teared up as scholarship recipients, aspiring doctors (and STEMinists of all kinds), and dedicated volunteers shared their Play Like a Girl journeys. Honorees Sarah Daley, Trinity Christiana, Peyton Rodgers, and corporate partner U.S. Bank were recognized for their leadership and dedication to mentorship of the next generation of women leaders.
Over 50 donations during the live auction sparked record-breaking generosity, helping to raise more than $100,000 through Play Like a Girl Honors and a series of Women’s History Month fundraising campaigns spurred by individuals and businesses across the country including TravisMathew, BRANWYN, and ARCO/Murray.
From heartfelt storytelling to record-breaking fundraising, Play Like a Girl Honors proved once again that when women come together, incredible things happen. Visit our Facebook album for photo highlights.
