Workshop & Expo Examples

STEM Workshop. Apple will lead its Sphero Maze Challenge Kids Hour, a popular Today at Apple workshop where girls program and race Sphero mini robots through an elaborate maze constructed on the floor using blue painters tape. The goal of the Sphero Maze Challenge is simple but valuable: learn to code by programming movements on an iPad that navigate your robot out of the maze.

Industry Expo. AT&T employees will share information about STEM opportunities for women at the company and demonstrate the It Can Wait virtual reality (VR) experience simulating the potentially deadly consequences of using cell phones while driving. The new VR experience reinvents the original approach of a driving simulation, now bringing students face-to-face with the very real dangers of distracted driving. Students will hear the raw, personal stories of victims living in a nightmarish reality, and will ultimately take AT&T’s pledge to not text and drive.
