Play Like a Girl delivers a multi-year program through which middle school girls experience practical lessons in leadership and engage in hands-on STEM+ education through the lens of a confidence-building curriculum.

7th grade students meet weekly for group mentoring with inspiring women role models and mentors using a confidence-building curriculum based upon our 10 Play Like a Girl principles.

Students start to build the bridge between middle and high school as they set goals and plan for the future. Girls also visit local colleges and participate in field trips and career expeditions at companies where they meet diverse women and men engaged in STEM+ careers.

Applications open September 1, and will be accepted on a rolling basis until the class is fully enrolled. A parent or guardian is required to attend three mandatory milestone events: The Grownups Gathering, Kickoff Party & Spring Showcase. Students meet as a cohort from November 2021 through April 2022. Proof of vaccination, face masks and social distancing are required for all in-person sessions. Students must use a virtual background and have their video cameras turned on at all times when meeting via Zoom or other video conferencing platforms. No exceptions.
